Extended dry seasons and reduced rainfall have lowered reservoir levels repeatedly, forcing the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) to restrict daily vessel transits and impose draft limits (Panama Canal Authority, 2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Unlike short\u2011term congestion events, these constraints are climate\u2011linked and recurrent.
